पटना: दुल्हन को लाने के लिए आमतौर पर आपने दूल्हे को बारात लेकर उसके घर जाते देखा और सुना होगा, लेकिन पटना के मनेर में एक दुल्हन एक रथ (बग्घी) पर सवार होकर बारातियों के साथ अपने दूल्हे को लेने उसके द्वार पहुंची. बारात में सभी लोग गुलाबी रंग की पगड़ी पहने गाजे-बाजे के साथ नृत्य करते और झूमते नजर आए. आम शादियों से अलग शुक्रवार की रात्रि में हुए इस विवाह में न दहेज का झंझट था न परंपरा की बेड़ी. मनेर टोला के निवासी नौसेना अधिकारी विनोद कुमार राय की पुत्री स्नेहा की सगाई कुछ दिन पूर्व मधुबनी के जयनगर के रहने वाले अनिल कुमार यादव के साथ हुई थी. अनिल भी नौसेना में ही लेफ्टिनेंट कमांडर हैं.
सगाई के समय ही तय हुआ था कि लड़की ही बारात लेकर दूल्हे के घर जाएगी. अनिल अपने परिवार के साथ दानापुर स्थित एक गेस्टहाउस में आकर ठहरे थे. स्नेहा शुक्रवार की शाम अपनी बहनों के साथ बग्घी पर सवार होकर बारात के साथ दानापुर गेस्ट हाउस पहुंची. दुल्हन के गांव की महिलाएं और पुरुष बराती बने थे. वर पक्ष ने बारात का स्वागत सत्कार किया. दुल्हन के पिता विनोद राय कहते हैं, “लड़कियों को लड़कों के सामान दिखाने का एक संदेश देने के तहत ये तय हुआ था कि उनकी बेटी बारात लेकर दूल्हे के घर जाएगी.”
उन्होंने कहा कि स्नेहा मुंबई में एक निजी बैंक में असिस्टेंट मैनेजर के पद पर कार्यरत है, जबकि दूसरी बेटी विनिता पुणे से एमबीबीएस कर रही है और छोटी बेटी विदुषी फैशन डिजाइनर है.इस विवाह से खुश स्नेहा ने बताया कि माता-पिता ने हम तीनों बहनों को कभी इसका एहसास नहीं होने दिया कि वे लड़कों से कम हैं. वे इस अनूठे तरीके से संपन्न हुए विवाह से भी प्रसन्न हैं. क्षेत्र में इस अनोखी बारात और शादी की चर्चा है.

Sneha, along with his sisters on the evening of Friday, boarded the wagon and reached Danapur guest house with a procession. The bride and the men of the bride’s house were baratai. The party on behalf of the party welcomed the procession. The bride’s father, Vinod Rai, says, “It was decided that after giving a message to the girls to show the goods to the boys, their daughter would go to the groom’s house with a procession.”
He said that Sneha is working as an Assistant Manager in a private bank in Mumbai, while the other daughter is doing MBBS from Vinitan Pune and the younger daughter is a fashion designer. Sneha, happy with this marriage, told that the parents had told us that Never let sisters realize that they are less than boys. They are also happy with the marriage done in this unique way.
